Please Note: HSA Family-Level Contribution Update
On April 26th, 2018, the Internal Revenue Service announced a change in Revenue Procedure 2018-27 that provides relief for taxpayers with family coverage under a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) who contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA). With this change, the 2018 family coverage maximum deductible HSA contribution under an HDHP has increased to $6,900.
This change occurs after an earlier reduction by $50 to $6,850 for a maximum deductible HSA contribution for taxpayers with family coverage under the 2018 Tax Cut and Jobs Act.
